To make sure of the complete combustion of rotary kiln fuel, you have to feed into combustion-supporting air. The air split from the smoke and the raw materials after the combustion of cement kiln, during the airflow to cement kiln’s cold end, passes heat to moving materials, then the air is ejected to preheater from kiln tail. When the air inside the rotary kiln flows along with the kiln shell, air’s temperature, flow value, and the components will takes great change. So the flow speed value and air resistance will be so different from before. Under common circumstances, the kiln tail’s negative pressure represents kiln’s hydraulic resistance. On normal operation, the negative pressure of the kiln tail should be kept within a small range. If it appears ring phenomenon after entering the kiln, the negative pressure of the kiln tail will apparently rise. When the exhaust fan’s draft inducing capacity keeps on a certain level, the operator can estimate the working statement of cement kiln and preheater on the value of the negative pressure of the rotary kiln tail.
Control The Air Flow’s Speed
The value of kiln airspeed influences the value of convection heating-exchange, heat-transfer efficiency, yield, and heating consumption, also it impacts the production of ash and materials consumption inside the kiln. When the flow speed is too quickly, owing to the large heat-transmission factor and little contact time between air and materials, the mass heat-transmission will reduce while the temperature of exhaust gas and heat-consumption raise. The airflow speed inside the kiln is generally be presented by kiln tailwind. It means that the proper wet kiln tail wind’s speed should be around 5.5m/s while the dry kiln should be10.5m/s.
