Consequently, naturally occurring bentonite typically contains high levels of moisture, which can impact its performance in various applications.

The latest upgraded bentonite dryer features a new combination lifting device, eliminating the phenomenon of air ducts, thereby increasing the contact area between bentonite particles and hot air to facilitate efficient heat exchange and dehydration. This enhancement results in improved thermal utilization efficiency and production capacity. To meet the requirements for discharge particle size, they have added chains and short steel pipes, effectively promoting heat transfer, pulverization, and blocking of airflow. Additionally, plate chains and hanging chains have been installed inside the drum to not only enhance heat transfer but also prevent the adhesion of lifting plates and strengthen the material crushing function, making it difficult for larger agglomerates to form.

The bentonite dryer can be used for the rapid drying of various industrial clay materials such as bentonite, kaolin, and bauxite. It adopts a single-pass drying or triple-pass drum drying structure design and utilizes high-temperature hot air drying technology, resulting in the moisture content of the dried product being below 5%. Compared to other drying equipment, the bentonite dryer has a higher thermal utilization rate, large daily processing capacity, simple operation, low maintenance costs, and longer service life.

The Working Process of Bentonite Dryer

The bentonite is initially loaded into the feeder by a forklift, and then uniformly fed into the belt conveyor by the feeder. Subsequently, it enters the dryer through the guide pipe. The thermal energy generated by the combustion of the hot air furnace enters the main body and contacts the bentonite under the action of the induced draft fan. Inside the drying drum, the bentonite comes into full contact with the hot air under the flipping action of uniformly distributed scraping boards, promoting evaporation of moisture and accelerating the heat and mass transfer during drying. Our company’s bentonite dryer adopts a sealed structure, effectively reducing heat loss and improving thermal efficiency. After drying, the bentonite is discharged through the discharge hopper and transported to the designated location for storage. The top of the discharge hopper serves as the outlet for substances such as dust in the process, and after treatment by the dust removal system, it meets environmental emission requirements.
