River sand dryer is a kind of sand dryer. River sand is a construction material primarily formed by the erosion and abrasion of river water, sourced from natural stones in riverbeds. It typically features a smooth surface with a considerable amount of impurities, yet its particles are round and relatively clean, exhibiting hues of gray-white or gray-yellow. The composition of river sand is intricate, comprising fine sand, medium-coarse sand, coarse sand, as well as sand and gravel. In the construction industry, river sand has extensive applications, commonly used in preparing concrete, cementitious materials, road-building materials, and artificial marble. Additionally, river sand can also serve as an additive in areas such as casting, metallurgy, and heat treatment to enhance material wear resistance and high-temperature durability.

The river sand dryer is based on the technology foundation of AGICO’s triple pass rotary dryer and is the third generation of three-cylinder dryers developed with European technology. This river sand rotary dryer consists of three concentric cylinders of different diameters, nested and combined according to specific mathematical relationships and structural forms. Guided by the principle of thermal power, the cylinder is equipped with lifting boards and guiding boards at different angles and intervals, ensuring that the dried materials move in a spiral manner inside the cylinder. With adequate residence time and sufficient dispersion, they undergo thorough heat exchange with the hot air from the combustion chamber, eliminating drawbacks such as small heat exchange area and low evaporation intensity per unit volume found in conventional drying equipment.

The unique triple-cylinder structure of the river sand dryer forms its own insulation system, with the inner and middle cylinders surrounded by the outer cylinder. The heat emitted from the surfaces of the inner and middle cylinders contributes to the heat exchange within the outer cylinder’s materials. Additionally, as the outer cylinder is positioned at the low-temperature end of the hot air flow, it significantly reduces the heat dissipation area and thermal energy loss of the cylinder.

The energy-saving river rotary sand dryer fully utilizes residual heat, reducing heat dissipation loss and increasing heat exchange area, thereby significantly improving the unit volume evaporation intensity of the dryer. This effectively enhances the thermal energy utilization rate and reduces energy consumption. Due to its unique structure, the length of the cylinder of the river sand rotary dryer is only one-third of that of a single-cylinder dryer, resulting in approximately 65% savings in basic area, thus reducing initial investment costs.
